What is Dermaplaning? An Introduction to This Intensive Exfoliation Facial

Dermaplaning is an intensive exfoliating facial treatment that removes dead skin and vellus hair.

What happens during your treatment?

A specialist (that’s us!) will use a scalpel at an angle and move it slowly across your skin. This removes dead skin cells, scar tissue, and other impurities that can make skin appear uneven. Each time you have a dermaplaning treatment it removes 2-3 weeks worth of dead skin cells!

Please note the below photo includes a scalpel.

What are the benefits of Dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning helps reduce the appearance of fine lines, acne scars and pigmentation over time. Make up application is smoother and skin care products are absorbed 80% more, which makes them more effective. Plus there’s little to no downtime to recover from your treatment!

How long does it take?

Dermaplaning takes anywhere between 30-45 minutes and can be performed every 4 weeks. The treatment itself removes approximately 21 days worth of dead skin so it’s important to let your skin repair and rejuvenate before your next appointment.
